Students will explore and reflect on how online information and emotions are connected.

  • Online vs Offline Feelings

    Students will explore how online and offline information makes them feel and identify and sort different types of information while reflecting on emotions and behaviors.

  • Stories vs Facts

    Students will investigate how stories shape their beliefs by comparing stories to facts and reflecting on their truth. They will watch an animated video to practice their new information evaluation skills.

  • Sense of Belonging

    Students will identify and share their personal traits that make them similar or different from their classmates. They will understand how inclusion and exclusion occur in different communities.

  • Intro to AI

    Students will learn about how they interact with AI and what makes those interactions different from interacting with people. They will watch an animated video introducing AI and express feelings about those interactions.

For this lesson, our characters discover that the white box in Daniel’s home that he and Darcy can talk to, isn’t in fact a real person. How will they feel about this new discovery and what will they change about how they speak with it?

During this lesson students will learn:

  • What’s behind the voices in technology

  • How to process the feelings from these conversations

  • The difference between real and virtual interactions

  • Better comprehend where the answers are coming from
